THE ROTARY CLUB OF PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, VIRGINIA
PO BOX 441
PRINCE GEORGE, VIRGINIA 23875

The Rotary Club of Prince George County chartered on August 22, 1996, having been sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hopewell. As are other Rotarians across the world, we are dedicated to Service Above Self and to the Four Way Test.
The Four Way Test is as follows:
Of the things we think, say or do
Is it the Truth?
Is it Fair to all concerned?
Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships
Will it be Benefical to all concerned?
SOME OF OUR SERVICE PROJECTS
International: We have sponsored projects with matching grants to rehabilitate a children's hospital in Bombo, Tanzania; we have donated money to the Guyana Project which provides mobile dental and general medical services to the needy in Guyana; and have been a matching grant provider to the KilifiKids project in Kilifi, Kenya which provides health, nutrition and educational services to school age children in the fishing villiage of Kilifi; we have provided funds to orphanages in Armenia; and we have donated funds to a number of communities struck by natural calamity.
Local: Our club has raised and donated funds to a number of local organizations including Healthy Families, the Cares Shelter, the James House, the summer reading program at the Appomattox Regional Library System, the Hopewell/Prince George Community Medical Center, personal care packages for wounded American military persons in Iraq, pet food and supplies for the Prince George Animal Shelter, and many other worthwhile local organizations.
We have also been engaged in many hands-on projects such as building wheel chair ramps for the elderly or disabled, helping to provide immunizations to local children, distributing dictionaries to the third graders of Prince George County, helping clean up riverways in Prince George and Hopewell, planting shrubs and flowers in various locations in the county and other projects.
The club provides college scholarships to Prince George seniors, sends local students to leadership institutes, and sponsors an Interact Club at Prince George High School.
We are a small club of 20+ members who would like to grow and are committed to continuing our service to our world and our community.
