The Club partnered again as volunteers at the Prince George County Toddler Fair. The sponsor of the Toddler Fair is the Prince George Human Services Department whose Director is our Past President and Assistant Governor Shel Douglas.

Lisa Crowder was the leaders of this project to add a kayak pier to the James River at the James River Wildlife Refuge in Prince George. Members of the Appalachian Trail Association joined in the effort.

Shel Douglas is a Rotary Grant Author and a part of the greater Water & Sanitation Global Grant Project(s) in Ghana. In February she was a Team Coodinator for a series of well and micro-flush toilet, simple school builds, and micro-lending projects in the South and Central part of Ghana.

Approximately 200 attendees. Perfect weather.

The Hopewell Rotary visited the club on a day when we featured a program on the Community Emergency Response Team presented by Charter Member and PG Deputy Emergency Management Director, Donald Hunter and club members Mary Ford and Steve Woith, both CERT members.

Our club were awarded the Tier 1 Website and Tier 1 Rotary Foundation Awards as well as an Ignite Membership & Engagement Award.

The Prince George Board of Supervisors proclaimed June 1 each year as Rotary Day. Percy Ashcraft, County Administrator & President-Elect of the Prince George Rotary presented the proclamation.

The club's district grant project for 2015 -16 in conjunction with the Prince George Parks Recreation Foundation and with help from County personnel, the Prince George High School Interact Club
